Paul Marks - Chairman
Paul became a member of the PGA of SA in 1995 after completing his apprenticeship under Phil Simmons. Paul has played the tour since 1995 and joined Germiston Country Club as Head Professional in 2001. In 2007 he accepted the Golf Director position at Woodhill Country Club.
He was elected to the Board of Directors in July 2005 and re-elected as the Gauteng North representative at their regional AGM in August 2008 - a position which he still holds to-date. He has been elected by the new Board as Chairman of the PGA of South Africa.

Martin Briede - Director
Martin graduated from Wits with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with education being one of his credits. He joined the PGA in 1995 and he did his apprenticeship under Richard Ayers at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club. He played on the Sunshine Tour from 1988 to 2000. He was Golf Director from 2001 to 2003 at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington. Martin then set up the academy at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington and has been the Head Teaching Professional since 2004. He was elected on the Central Gauteng Regional committee in 2009. He was awarded the PGA Teacher of the year in 2010. Martin is passionate about junior coaching and has made coaching children one of his specialties. Recently elected Chairman of the Gauteng Central Region.

Nic Grundtvig - Director
Nic Grundtvig (Advanced PGA Professional), member of the PGA's of GB & Ire and South Africa. Chairman and Regional Director representing the Southern & Eastern Cape Region. Started apprenticeship program in 1996 and qualified at The Belfry in the UK as a full member of the association in 1999. Has gained extensive experience within the industry, both as a golf instructor and in club management. Currently managing the Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf Estate.

Phil Simmons - Director
Director of Golf - Mount Edgecome CC & Estate - 2001 to current - Full Golf Operation.
1998 - Won PGA Pro of the Year award.
Awarded Life Membership of the PGA of SA 2008.
Achieved "Master" professional status - The PGA of SA - 2009.
Offices Held: National Board of the PGA of SA 1992 - 2002.
Re-elected to National Board 2012.

Louis Destroo - Vice Chairman
Louis holds the position of Director of Golf at Stellenbosch Golf Club. He began his academic career at University of Stellenbosch and completed his degree in Sports Science before joining the PGA Apprentice Programme in 2001 under Arnold Mentz at Stellenbosch Golf Club. In 2003 Louis received the PGA Apprentice of the Year Award for outstanding Academic achievement & commitment to the programme. In 2004 he completed the PGA Academic Apprentice Programme. In 2002 Louis completed the R & A Rules Diploma.
Louis was elected as the Western Capes Regional representative to the Board at their AGM in September 2008. Chairman of Western Province Region and Vice-Chairman of the PGA of South Africa.

Michael Balderstone - Director
2004 - to current - Managing Director /Elite Performance Director - The Golf School of Excellence - Coaching, programme development, tournament organisation, recruitment, marketing.

Wayne Krambeck - Director

2009 - Contracted to Cotswald Downs as General Manager - Manages entire golf operations from service to profitability.
